I was playing my guitar the other day and created a chord pattern that sounded a little Irish. While playing, I started thinking of Irish lullabies and how it would be fun to make a second part to the song. I started dreaming of a guy who maybe didn't get the girl like he wanted. Keeping his hopes up and his head high he gets back out there. This is what I have come up with so far.

I thought that I had finally found the one for life.

But it turns out that I wasn't her kind of guy.

but she blamed it on the drinks and the Irish lullabies.

But I guess he was right, I should have listened that night. But instead I fell for her over Irish Lullabies.

Oh I wonder if those deep blue eyes. Are gazing at another guy tonight.

So I'll go a sing to another tonight. And she'll fall those Irish lullabies.

So li-de-di-de-di-di, li-de-di-de-di-di. She's falling for me, over Irish Lullabies. 

It's short and sweet. I'm hoping I'll have it hammered out by St. Patrick's day 2021
